DESCRIPTION
KLKN-TV is looking for a Weekend Sports Anchor/MMJ. Lincoln is home to the Huskers and is one of the best sports markets in the country! This position requires a great on-air personality with strong reporting, editorial, and social media skills. A drive and passion for sports is essential, along with the ability to generate strong local sports stories without relying on national feeds. You also have a good understanding of current events as you will report news stories a couple of days during the week.
You will…
- Shoot, write and edit news and sports stories for broadcast and web
- Produce weekend sports block
- Anchor weekend sports
- Update social media/web platforms throughout the day
- News MMJ 3 days a week
You have…
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere
- Knowledge of JVC cameras
- Thrive under pressure and deadlines
- Willing to work various shifts
