DESCRIPTION
WSPA-TV/WYCW-TV, the CBS affiliate for Greenville/Spartanburg, SC and Asheville, NC has an immediate opening for a meteorologist to join our 7 News Weather Team. The Meteorologist forecasts weather conditions and produces and anchors weather reports for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers.

JOB EXPERIENCE
Strong Understanding of the field of meteorology and a proven track record of forecasting
Knowledge of weather graphics, presentation, and design
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required.
- Superior on-air presence.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution.
