About WGGB/WSHM:
Named 2021 Station of the year by the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association, Western Mass News is a licensed television station in Springfield, Massachusetts, and serves the Pioneer Valley. The networks of Western Mass News include ABC 40, Fox 6 and CBS 3.
Job Description/Summary:
Our videographers use their skills to visually showcase our stories. They are responsible for shooting the video, as well as editing video that may be for anchor reads or reporter stories.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Able to multi-task and cover multiple stories within a regular shift
– Able to work as a team with reporters, other members of the newsroom
– Other duties as assigned by management
JOB EXPERIENCE
Qualifications/Requirements:
– College degree in Communications or equivalent, or high school diploma and related work experience
– Familiar with digital video cameras
– Familiar with Avid, other non-linear editing systems a plus
– Familiar with operating LiveU backpacks
– Good driving record
