JOB EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Comprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

Team Collaboration: Work with a talented team to produce engaging content for our one-hour Friday Night Football franchise, Friday Night Sports show, weekly Sportszone show, and daily sportscasts.
Coverage: Dive into the world of Saints, Pelicans, Zurich Classic, Tulane Green Wave, LSU Tigers, and the SEC!
Content Creation: Research, write, shoot, and edit stories for multiple platforms in a clear, engaging, and meaningful manner for sports enthusiasts.

Additional Responsibilities:

Ensures that all sports content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
Responds to breaking sports events and other urgent newsroom situations as required.
Works closely with the sports team to develop and produce comprehensive sports coverage and special sports programming.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Writes stories for the website and other digital platforms.
Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Comprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Flexibility to work any shift.
