KTVB News in Boise, ID, is looking for a creative, energetic, multi-skilled journalist/Part-time Anchor to join our sports department. If you're curious, want to bring fresh ideas, innovative style, work in the newsroom, and in the field – we want to hear from you. This position allows the perfect candidate to report and anchor unique sportscasts that inform and inspire audiences in one of the strongest TV stations in the country. Applicants should have breaking sports experience, strong editorial judgment, and fully understand the needs of our audience across all our platforms. Responsibilities:
• Encourage innovation and risk-taking in crafting great sportscasts through emotion and showcasing
• Shoot, write, and edit stories for on-air broadcasting and digital platforms, including streaming
• Experience with anchoring sports segments
• Ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven live shots
• Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on IG, Twitter, Facebook and other accounts
• Have a good understanding of social media platforms to incorporate into newscasts.
• Write in a conversational and captivating style
• Enterprise sports ideas
• Work collaboratively with other producers and staff members to plan sporting event coverage
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics, viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc. to enhance stories
• Transmit and present engaging live reports with current technology
• Perform other tasks as required by sports director or news managers

Requirements: 
• BA/BS in journalism, communications, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Understanding the tenets of professional journalism
• Skills in producing engaging, content-driven sportscasts and digital content
• Knowledge in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems
• Enterprise sports ideas, write, shoot, and edit stories for all platforms
• Knowledge of ENPS, Edius, and Axis graphics a plus
