The Senior Producer, Creative Services writes, shoots and edits exceptionally high-quality marketing promos and commercials in a fast-paced environment for outside clients and internally for KXAN, KNVA and KBVO.


  • Develops creative concepts that showcase KXAN clients and news brand in the best possible light
  • Writes on-brand copy with a persuasive, compelling voice
  • Lights and shoots video for commercial and station marketing projects
  • Discusses ideas, script, graphic elements and shot requirements
  • Compiles pre-production elements as needed
  • Sets up, composes, and executes video shoots
  • Comfortable keeping video equipment in working order
  • Able to work with news talent in a positive manner
  • Basic understanding of 3-point lighting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements & Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • College degree or 3 years creative services or video production experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency with video recording equipment
  • Ability to work with camera stabilizers and dollies
  • Proficiency with video editing equipment
  • Highly organized; meets deadlines, prioritizes assignments and comfortably multi-talks
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud with strong emphasis on Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and Illustrator. 
  • Ability to maintain file organization and recall is critical
  • Sony FS5, A7111, Canon C100 camera operation is a plus
