**RELOCATION ASSISTANCE OFFERED**

9NEWS (KUSA) in Denver is home to employees who demonstrate an urgent, passionate and unmatched commitment to lead and revolutionize information delivery across all platforms. We are looking for a 6:00 a.m. Senior Producer to manage this important hour of our Monday through Friday morning news.

We're looking for someone with a proven ability to create, produce and write news of the day as well as unique content for 6:00 a.m., working with the Morning Executive Producer and a team of other journalists. We’re looking for a producer with strong skills, strong leadership qualities and strong creative ideas about how to make newscasts stand out from our competitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Line produce the Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. newscast
  • Fill in EP at least 1 time every two weeks for management development
  • React to breaking news and manage the show's timing
  • Produce unique content for multi-platforms, including broadcast and digital
  • Write content for 9News.com
  • Help lead the content and transformation of 9NEWS Mornings.
  • Look ahead for unique and original morning content
  • Oversee segment bookings for best guest and production value
  • Be a leader in the newsroom

Requirements:

  • College degree in journalism, communications or similar
  • 3-5 years experience full-time newscast producing or executive producing.
  • Top-notch communication skills are an absolute must.
  • Solid journalistic judgement and a news philosophy that emphasizes accurate, fair and unique local content, along with community engagement.?
  • Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
  • Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content.
  • Strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on your preferred social platforms.?
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure deadlines.
  • Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.?
  • ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.
