ISLAND NEWS (KITV & KIKU), an Allen Media Broadcasting company in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks a Senior Media Consultant.

We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced and strategic Senior Media Consultant to join our dynamic team at ISLAND NEWS (KITV / KIKU / MeTV / HawaiiTV).

This role offers the unique opportunity to manage a pre-existing book of business that generates commission over $100K, providing you with a foundation to drive innovative media strategies across both broadcast and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in media consulting; possess deep industry knowledge, exceptional strategic insight, and a comprehensive understanding of how to integrate broadcast and digital media to deliver impactful results for local businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of integrated media strategies for both broadcast and digital platforms, aligning with organizational goals and client objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify audience trends, opportunities, and create customized media plans for your clients.
Cultivate Relationships with current clients & prospects.
Manage a pre-existing book of business that commissions over $100K, ensuring excellent customer relationships and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
Develop and execute tailored media strategies to help clients achieve their marketing and business goals, further expanding business opportunities.
Leverage your existing relationships with key clients to drive revenue growth and foster long-term partnerships.
Provide expert media consulting to both internal teams and external clients, guiding the development and execution of media strategies.
Work closely with sales management and creative teams to ensure smooth collaboration and successful project outcomes.
Research business opportunities in the marketplace – set appointments to present custom packages and close new businesses.
Increase existing business on all station platforms to achieve individual and sales team budgets

JOB EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 4 years of experience in media consulting, media planning with a strong background in both broadcast and digital media.
Experience managing a book of business with a proven ability to generate more than $100K in commissions.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong understanding of both broadcast and digital media landscapes.
Expert in media planning, analytics and audience targeting tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proven record of accomplishment in building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving business growth.
Knowledge of local markets and community dynamics.
