KXTV – a TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Sacramento, CA – is seeking a Sales Assistant position, to join our sales team on a temporary, part-time basis, August 26, 2024 – November 19, 2024. Once ad solutions are sold by the Account Executives, the Account Manager becomes the key point of contact for the clients. The Sales Assistant will assist the Account Managers in coordinating the full efforts of all the internal team members involved in the fulfillment & execution process to help the clients achieve the desired business results and to receive a strong ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with Account Executives and Account Managers on post-sales activity including order entry, campaign implementation and the day-to-day responsibilities of accounts to ensure proper implementation of their solutions, broadcast and digital.
- Assist Traffic and Programming staff with the daily administration of managing logs and station programming.
- Processes client posts, supplies pre/post log times and assists with a vast array of duties as needed: sending invoices, makes necessary adjustments, etc.
- Works in a team environment to achieve individual and team goals and provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
- Plans, organizes and prioritizes work flow to meet team goals and deadlines
- Uses WO to prepare reports and provides back-up as needed
- Provides support and works closely with sales staff.
- Performs the duties of the other team members as needed
- Provides occasional support to National Sales team
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience plus high school diploma (or GED equivalent)
- Must have organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Must be highly motivated, and ambitious with a “can do” attitude.
- Demonstrated computer knowledge required.
- Understanding of Microsoft suite of products required
- Knowledge of WideOrbit and/or Medialine a plus!
