DESCRIPTION
Graham Media Group Jacksonville (WJXT, Independent and WCWJ, CW Affiliate) is seeking a data-driven Research Director to be a part of the WJXT/WCWJ station leadership team. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic direction of our multi-platform content, marketing, and sales revenue growth by leveraging data-driven insights. This highly visible role will compile and analyze linear, digital and OTT cross platform viewership for the purposes of strategic planning and to create actionable internal insights and client presentations. The Research Director reports to the VP/General Manager of WJXT/WCWJ and is based in Jacksonville, Florida.
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in marketing, research, or related field.
- Understanding of audience measurement tools such as Nielsen (NLTV, Arianna), ComScore, Google Analytics, Scarborough, Wide Orbit Media Sales, Media Monitors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Domo a plus.
- Must encompass collaborative skills and a capacity for effective team participation.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment in a rapidly changing industry.
REQUIREMENTS
- Oversee all research functions including Nielsen, Scarborough Research, Media Monitors, ComScore, Wide Orbit Media Sales, and Google Analytics.
- Prepare, analyze, and track trending of linear, digital and OTT cross platform viewership for Sales, News, Creative Services and Station Management.
- Assist in the development and management of customized client proposals and multi-faceted marketing/sponsorship campaigns to provide successful client solutions and drive revenue growth for WJXT/WCWJ.
- Effectively position and communicate the strength of our brand and products by leveraging research and data to craft compelling narratives.
- Work with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders in executing research findings to support station initiatives and goals.
