Audacy Boston’s WEEI is seeking a Major League Baseball play-by-play and analyst announcer (English language) to broadcast during the 2024 Red Sox season. If you have experience and expertise in describing baseball action on the radio – to go along with an engaging personality – you could be a perfect match to call games alongside Hall-of-Famer Joe Castiglione in the Sox Booth this year!

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and research for game broadcasts
  • Some games/innings will be in a play-by-play role, describing on-field action; other games/innings would be spent as an analyst, assisting the lead play-by-play voice with game reaction
  • Deliver live game broadcasts that are both entertaining and informative
  • Participate in pre-game and post-games shows
  • Conduct interviews with players, coaches and team management
  • Interact/engage with listeners on social media
  • Participate in content creation across all platforms
  • Occasional appearance on WEEI-FM talk shows possible
  • Protect the station’s FCC license
  • Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
  • Other duties as required by management



  • Extensive experience as a baseball announcer on radio
  • Strong on-air voice required with the ability to change tempo and passion as game action dictates
  • Knowledge of Red Sox history and the Boston sports scene necessary
  • Strong social media brand and skills a plus
  • Must have the ability to travel
  • Must have a flexible schedule to work daytime, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot broadcast equipment is a bonus
  • A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
