DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE/REASON FOR THE POSITION:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Writer/ENG Editor to add to our award-winning news team. This will be a great entry level position for anyone starting out in the broadcasting industry, interested in learning the basics of a successful newsroom.

JOB EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Strong writing ability.
Calm under pressure.
Great at multi-tasking.
Must be willing to work weekends, unusual shifts and holidays.

REQUIREMENTS

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB:

Aid Producer in writing news stories for KFOR/KAUT newscasts.
Monitor scanners for breaking news
Interact, in a positive manner, with viewers via telephone and email
Dispatch crews to stories
Post breaking news to KFOR.com
