DESCRIPTION

WROC-TV News 8, a CBS affiliate, seeks a detail-oriented individual to coordinate the efforts of the Production department on-air and behind the scenes. As the Director, you are the driving force for our on-air product, making it stand out from the competition while creating visually dynamic and error-free broadcasts.

JOB EXPERIENCE

Code and Direct daily live local newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions using Ross OverDrive and ENPS.
Work closely with News Producers, Photographers, Engineers and other Directors to enhance our final on-air product.
Edit with technical proficiency and visual effectiveness using Adobe Premiere.
Work well in a collaborative team environment; multitasking, problem-solving and making last-minute decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
Be self-sufficient, managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
Perform other job-related requests and duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience is preferred.
Experience in news operations and/or production is preferred.
Ross OverDrive, ENPS and Adobe Premiere experience a plus.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills; fluent in English, oral and written.
Available to work all dayparts (mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays), as well as extended hours as assigned.
Compensation $17-$18/hour commensurate with applicant’s experience and skill level.
