Position-Planning Producer/Fox 8 News in the Morning

JOB EXPERIENCE

Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • The Planning Producer position is assigned to our top rated “Fox 8 News in the Morning” newscast.

  • The Planning Producer is responsible for all non-news segments within the six hour morning news. These can include, live guests, live musical performances, cooking segments, booking breaking newsmaker interviews.

  • In addition, the Planning Producer provides assistance and coordination for our “Kickin’ it with Kenny” segments.

  • The Planning Producer also coordinates and produces some of the stations community and charity endeavors including our annual St Jude Dream Home fundraiser.

REQUIREMENTS

Additional duties may include filling in as a line producer, writing for newscasts, running teleprompter, contributing to digital and social media platforms  as well as other duties as assigned.
