DESCRIPTION

Flood Communications in Sidney (KSID-FM and KSID-AM) has an immediate opening for a high-energy, aggressive, creative, and hard-working part-time play-by-play announcer (one to two nights per week) for high school sports in the southern Nebraska Panhandle, including football, volleyball, and basketball. Plus, American Legion Baseball in the summer.

The successful candidate should have the ability to communicate action to listeners clearly and effectively. The successful candidate should also be able to contact activities directors to set-up broadcast plans, reach out to area coaches to obtain information for the broadcast, put together preview and postgame stories (with photos and/or video) for air on radio, web and News Channel Nebraska television. 


JOB EXPERIENCE

Sports play-by-play announcing, preparation and story writing is preferred, but willing to work with the right candidate.


REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of and ability to operate broadcasting equipment, including TieLine is helpful, but willing to train the right candidate. We're looking for a knowledgeable sportscaster who will engage the audience, be active in the sports community, build on the successes of the station and take our sports coverage to the next level.
