KOLR 10/Nexstar Media Inc, is hiring a Part-Time Lifestyle Host for its lifestyle show, Ozarks Live. The right candidate will join another host in presenting on camera segments and interviews that highlight people and places unique to the Ozarks.
The Lifestyle Show Host is responsible for hosting live interview segments and taped sponsored segments in a fun, afternoon lifestyle format. The host must be comfortable and charismatic on camera and have the ability to confidently interview people, also on camera, without a script. They must be willing to learn what it takes to get segments from concept to client approval to air.
Someone with previous television experience is preferred but not required. This person must be flexible, have good time management skills to meet deadlines, and exceptional interpersonal skills. They must be willing to participate in station events. Responsibilities may include other duties as directed by management.
JOB EXPERIENCE
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in planning and producing live daily lifestyle show.
- Writes and edits recorded and on camera interview segments.
- Communicates with AEs and clients regarding sponsored content.
- Generates compelling daily social media content.
- Emcees station events and client remotes as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience hosting lifestyle shows or anchoring local news.
- Informed about local events, entertainment, food, fashion, etc.
- Generates and coordinates local lifestyle stories.
- Writes scripts quickly and conversationally.
- Proficiency with producing and editing software.
