Mid-West Family Rockford is looking for an On-Air Personality looking to grow into management who can connect with listeners in a real, engaging way—on-air, on social media, and out in the community. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their presence in a market and in their career while contributing to a strong, locally focused station.

JOB EXPERIENCE

What We’re Looking For

  • On-air experience (3+ years preferred)

  • A strong sense of personality, authenticity, and audience connection

  • Confidence across platforms—radio, video, and social media

  • Creativity and the ability to generate and execute content ideas

  • Strong communication and time management skills

  • A team-oriented mindset and willingness to be involved across the station

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to participate in station events

Valued Extras

  • Experience with promotion creation & execution, event hosting, or remotes

  • Familiarity with music scheduling software (G-Selector)

  • Audio/video editing and digital content creation experience

  • A solid understanding of the country format and audience


REQUIREMENTS

What You’ll Do

  • Host live and/or recorded on-air shifts with personality and strong preparation

  • Create content that reflects what’s happening locally—events, trends, and community stories

  • Build an active presence across social and digital platforms

  • Engage with listeners through calls, contests, social media, and live events

  • Represent the station at remotes, concerts, and community appearances

  • Interview artists, local personalities, and community partners

  • Work with Sales to help create and execute campaigns, promotions, events, endorsement opportunities, and station initiatives

  • Assist with programming tasks, including music scheduling (G-Selector preferred)

  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality on-air sound
