Job Summary/Description:
KLTV is looking for a video editor for the Emmy Award-winning, "Good Morning East Texas". Duties include editing video and sound for 2 1/2 hour weekday morning show. This is an overnight position. Regular schedule works to prepare video for Monday-Friday morning newscasts. Employee in this position is normally finished with their shift by 7:00 AM each day!
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
– Edit newscast video for stories and teases in 2 1/2 hour morning newscast
– Reading newscast copy to match video images
– Communicate with newscast producers
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Professional non-linear editing knowledge (KLTV uses Edius, similar to many other common platforms)
– Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines
– Good communication skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere
– Strong attention to detail
– College degree or some college experience is preferred, but not required
– This is an overnight position, must be willing to fill in occasionally on weekends and holidays
