Job Summary/Description:  

7NEWS, a dominant source of news for the Watertown market, is looking for a motivated journalist who wants to report news, not just make content. We are a newsroom that offers many opportunities for reporters to learn and dig for investigative stories, as well as tell great feature stories, all while stressing the importance of great, creative story-telling by using NAT sound, people, and pictures. This position would also allow for on-air anchoring opportunities. Position starts at $37,440. Overtime available. Full benefits package, including 401K. Sign-on bonus.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

– Be part of our award-winning newsroom team to develop story ideas and report live in the field, in studio or straight packages with creative standups
– Shoot, edit, write, and report news 5-days a week and meet deadlines
– Fill-in anchor duties too

Qualifications/Requirements:

– 4-year journalism degree preferred
– Experience with ENPS, Edius. Willing to train.
– Must be able to carry television news-gathering gear.
