About WOIO-WUAB:

WOIO-WUAB is the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as WTCL, the only Telemundo station in the Cleveland DMA. We produce 69.5 hours of live, local news, weather, and sports every week and deliver content on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms on WOIO and 10.5 hours of news on WTCL/WOHZ.

Job Summary/Description:  

WOIO 19 News is seeking a full-time Producer for TV.  Candidate will be responsible for writing/producing compelling and visually appealing newscasts for TV. Must be a strong, punchy writer with impeccable news judgment with an eye for the people, pictures, and pace approach to local newscasts. Must have the ability to craft compelling TV rundowns that emphasize urgency, immediacy, Breaking News, Disruptive and Breaking Weather and other "Alert" areas of content.

JOB EXPERIENCE


REQUIREMENTS

– Strong verbal/written communication skills and knowledge of AP Style required
– College degree in Journalism preferred
– Ability to work under pressure and well with a diverse group of people
– Must be able to handle a wide variety of variables, including short deadlines, shifting schedules
– Other duties as assigned by News Management
