Job Summary/Description:
KPLC-TV has a full-time opening for a News Operations Manager. This highly organized Newsroom Manager will interface with all other departments at KPLC including Engineering, Promotions, and Sales.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
– Maintaining on-air programming
– Manage equipment inventory including fleet of vehicles
– Train new employees on equipment (cameras, LiveU, laptops, etc.)
– Supervise Technical Media Producers
– Diagnose, troubleshoot, and coordinate repair of news gathering equipment
– Maintain quality control of all news broadcast.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– A degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or Management and at least 3 years of television experience is preferred
– Must be able to work flexible hours
– Work in high-stress situations
– Pass an MVR check
