JOB EXPERIENCE
The MultiMedia Journalist Photographer captures visual content, researches, writes and edits stories for multiple platforms.
- Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, internet, mobile, social, etc.
- Work with management to enterprise and develop stories daily
- Demonstrate compelling storytelling by shooting and editing video, conducting live shots, creative graphics, and use of digital and social media platforms
- The ability to voice and track material and perform an occasional on camera standup
- Organize material, determine angle or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards
- Gather and verify information regarding stories through interview, observation and research
- Operates live microwave and satellite trucks in remote situations
- Operates drone for use in obtaining video footage
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree Journalism required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education) + (3) three years’ experience as a multi-platform journalist
- Knowledge of broadcast quality camera equipment
- Conflict management
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrate editorial judgment using knowledge of journalism ethics and libel laws
- Strong on-air reporting, writing, and technical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work any shift
