DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Journalist who can shoot, write and edit stories. This person must be versatile with the ability to cover topics from breaking news, politics, education, and crime along with issues affecting the local economy and environment.
We want a creative and innovative storyteller who can create unique content for digital and TV.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate leads and tips, conduct interviews, research stories, write and edit news stories.
- Create web content, meet publication or broadcast deadlines, and report on newsworthy events.
- Turn daily content in live, PKG, or look live form
- Maintain story calendar and pitch impactful, newscast-leading stories.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
- Must be able to write, shoot and edit creative stories on tight deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter, go-getter and be a problem solver in the field.
- Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
- Ability to work mornings, nights and weekend shifts as necessary.
Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
Work Environment Set: Outdoors: performed in various outdoor environmental conditions
Physical Demands Set: Medium work: Involves standing prolong hours, stooping, bending, lifting/pushing up to 25 lbs.
