TEGNA, one of the nation’s leading broadcasters, has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Multi-Market Media Planner that will work closely with the Central Ad Operations Team and our Advertising Partners to forecast and traffic all multi-market campaigns across all digital advertising platforms, such as web, mobile in-app, and OTT/CTV.
Responsibilities:
This is a critical role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Create solution-based needs proposals based on information provided by the customer
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of ongoing multi-market digital advertising accounts and campaigns.
• Contribute to the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals by making sure all impressions and deliverables are achieved and reported in full.
• Ensure that all elements of multi-market advertising campaigns are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Meet client needs by analyzing data, preparing recommendations and performing optimizations to further increase the success rate.
• Assist Account Executives with creating advertising proposals utilizing cost per thousand pricing structures.
• Report to sales team regarding advertising inventory, forecasting, campaign performance and sell thru reporting.
• Compare internal reporting with third party reports to ensure campaigns are tracking and running as contracted.
• Process customer credit requests (i.e. review against insertion orders) and report status to the sales executives.
• Coordinate with billing department to resolve monthly invoicing discrepancies.
• Manage testing and trafficking of all ad creative
• Collaborate with Programmatic Sales and Yield team on revenue-generating projects.
• Work cooperatively with team members and clients to deliver a high level of service.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college or technical related discipline required.
• 3 – 5 years of practical work experience in digital advertising technology.
• 2+ years in digital ad serving technology such as Google Ad Manager
• Proven knowledge of the digital advertising technology stack and workflow.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at once.
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Quick and adaptive learner who will develop expertise in digital workflow and ad serving systems.
• Ability to operate independently with discipline in a remote environment.
• Ability to convey technical and complex information through written and verbal communication.
• Ability to react to change productively.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft products, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Flash, HTML, and JavaScript, basic knowledge.
