Job Summary/Description:
KLTV is looking for an experienced newscast producer for its Emmy Award-winning morning newscast. Good Morning East Texas is a high-octane, 2.5-hour newscast that operates with four producers, an editor, and five on-air staff members.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
– Writing
– Co-producing hour-long newscasts on weekday mornings
– Position works overnight shift
– Editing video for newscasts
– Posting stories online
– Computer Skills
– Producer works in the control room booth during live newscasts, monitoring time, live shots, etc.
– Occasionally required to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– A journalism degree or similar is preferred.
– 1-2 years experience is a plus for this position.
