Our annual winter outlook and severe weather specials have consistently garnered Boston/New England Emmy nominations and wins, showcasing our commitment to delivering top-tier weather content.

We are seeking a passionate, engaging Meteorologist/MSJ who is eager to continue this legacy of excellence. The ideal candidate understands the weather conversation our audience is having and how to relate to them, from an upcoming blizzard to a bright sunny day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and compelling weather forecasts on multiple platforms
  • Produce clean, creative, and informative graphics to tell the weather story
  • Prepare and deliver severe weather updates, interrupting regular programming as necessary
  • Update website and engage with viewers on social media platforms daily
  • Develop unique daily weather story ideas from climate change to relevant weather explainers
  • Write, edit, and report on weather content from the field or inside the newsroom
  • Collaborate with the weather team to produce special reports and seasonal outlooks
  • Fill in for Meteorologists on various days and shifts to cover vacation and time off

Requirements: 

  • Degree in Meteorology
  • Minimum of one – three years of on air experience as a Broadcast Meteorologist
  • Sound writing and storytelling skills
  • Editing skills preferred
Pay Range
$55,000$65,000 USD
