Job Summary/Description:

KOLD has an opening for a salaried plus commission Media Executive focusing on new business development to join our team of integrated marketing/advertising professionals.

Are you a self-starter who thrives on meeting new businesses, establishing rapport, and providing creative solutions to help those businesses grow? If so, then our New Business Development Specialist role might be the perfect fit. KOLD 13 NEWS and Gray Digital Media will provide the right candidate with all the necessary tools to succeed in the fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-evolving world of Multi-Media Advertising Sales

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

– Identify, prospect, and close new advertisers for KOLD 13 NEWS, both on-air and online
– Stay current on all station programming and product offerings, and have working knowledge of the competition
– Conduct needs analysis appointments with new business prospects
– Develop and present smart, creative solutions to new advertisers who do not currently do business with KOLD 13 NEWS or utilize any of our Digital offerings
– Provide detailed prospecting records and communicate regularly with supervisor (LSM & DSM) regarding new business pipeline, needs analysis and proposal meetings, and potential closes

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Self-motivated, high-energy salesperson
– Sales and new business development experience
– Excellent organizational, verbal, and writing skills
– Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
– Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products
– Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
