KWES-TV, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Midland-Odessa, Texas is seeking a creative, engaging, Marketing MSJ/Producer. The ideal candidate would work with sales to create content for multiple platforms for local businesses and execution of marketing projects for station content, community initiatives, and sales client needs. The successful candidate will be able to execute a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-tasking environment and work well with advertisers, producers, and co-host. You are a passionate storyteller who creates content for all mediums including social media, linear television, and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for both live and taped interviews for our advertorial lifestyle program.
  • Working with the station’s Director of Marketing and team leadership to execute creative concepts for a wide range of campaigns including but not limited to brand image campaigns, and topicals.
  • Strong copywriting skills for marketing promotional content
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to tight and sometimes quick deadlines.
  • Host will also interact in studio with clients, sales account executives, prospective clients, and other guests on a daily basis.
  • Host may do live commercials in the show or taped interstitials that air within the program.
  • Strong ability to use mirrorless cameras to film content.

Requirements

  • Must have experience hosting solo and with co-host.
  • College degree in?journalism, marketing, advertising, or related field preferred
  • An outgoing personality and the people skills to work effectively with both clients and sales department members.
  • While most days you’ll work typical hours, you might be asked to work a flexible schedule that may require working some nights, weekends and being present during breaking news situations.
  • Strong filming skills for marketing promos and social content
