Market Manager – KGEW Telemundo

KGEW is the Spanish-language home of the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and high-profile programming and news, and we are looking for a passionate and competitive Market Manager to lead our efforts in the Beaumont-Port Arthur DMA.
The ideal candidate should be goal-oriented and able to develop long-lasting client and community relationships. This position also requires a person who is driven, accountable, ethical, personable, and works well independently.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Represent Telemundo Beaumont-Port Arthur in the business community and build relationships with key decision makers
- Develop new business strategy and non-traditional revenue opportunities
- Oversee the station’s client relationships, sales processes, and account maintenance, work closely with other station departments
- Report on Revenue Projections, budget variance, and other key metrics with the General Manager and/or National Operations Director
- Maintain and develop strategy regarding inventory and budgets on all sales platforms
- Oversee and support national sales, working alongside SagamoreHill’s National Sales Manager
- Direct local sales effort. Manage local sales team and provide leadership, training, and resources. Attract, hire, and develop new sales talent
- Directs the Accounts Receivable efforts of the Sales Department
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Broadcast Sales Management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Great networking skills
- Solid negotiation skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with media software such as OSI-Adconnections or WideOrbit-Media Sales a plus
- Strong work ethic, trustworthy, and self-motivated
- Must possess a driver’s license with a good driving record
- Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write in?both?English and Spanish a plus
