Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy intern with an interest in radio broadcasting and telecommunications technologies. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support and live broadcast operations.
JOB EXPERIENCE
What You'll Do:
- Support IT engineers with studio equipment troubleshooting.
- Contribute to software tools that enhance broadcast operations (e.g., sound effects, lighting systems, LED screen control).
- Assist with the operation of audio, video, lighting, and broadcast equipment.
- Monitor quality during live radio broadcasts.
- Learn on-air signal flow to transmitters and streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube TV).
- Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new services and software.
- Aid in the maintenance and monitoring of transmitters.
- Assist with remote transmitter site maintenance and repair of electronic broadcast equipment.
- Assist engineers in configuring software and installing/maintaining audio-visual systems.
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Train on manning live radio programming and using the master audio mixer.
- Shadow engineers in the master control room for live production operations.
REQUIREMENTS

Required & Preferred:
- Current student or recent graduate in Computer Information Systems, Broadcast Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Radio telecommunications industry technologies and challenges.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of signal flow, audio/video technology, and IT systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with broadcast production equipment.
- Knowledge of AV system configuration.
- A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
