About KCBD:

KCBD NewsChannel 11 is the NBC affiliate in Lubbock, Texas, and the long-time dominant #1 station in the market. Our station is committed to excellent journalism and innovation across all platforms, producing and airing more than 50 hours of original local news and weather programming each week. Our digital platforms also dominate in audience, engagement, and content. We invest in the latest news-gathering equipment and superior weather technology. KCBD provides the tools, training, and opportunities for career growth and advancement in the industry.

Our news operation also includes Telemundo Lubbock, the only Spanish-language TV newscast in the area. And we produce news for the local FOX affiliate, as well.

Lubbock is a fast-growing metro of 325,000+ with a strong, stable economy. Cost of living is low. There`s always something to do, including Big 12 Athletics, live music, plays, wineries and breweries, museums, art galleries, triathlons and 5Ks, and much more. Lubbock is home to Texas Tech University, 40,000 students strong with its own vibrant culture. Skiing is four hours west in the mountains of New Mexico, and a weekend getaway to DFW or Austin is within driving range. And the airport flies direct to Dallas, Austin, Houston, Vegas, Phoenix, and Denver.
