9NEWS (KUSA) in Denver is home to employees who demonstrate an urgent, passionate and unmatched commitment to lead and revolutionize information delivery across all platforms. We are looking for a News Producer to manage weeknight and weekend evening newscasts.

We're looking for someone with a proven ability to create, produce and write news of the day as well as unique content for our 9 or 10 p.m. newscasts, depending on the day of the week. We’re looking for a producer with strong skills, strong leadership qualities and strong creative ideas about how to make newscasts stand out from our competitors.

Pay Range: $26.44 to $31.25 per hour ($55,000-$65,000 per year).

  • Line produce 9 or 10 p.m. newscasts. Our weeknight 9 p.m. newscast is 60 minutes long, while our 10 p.m. newscasts and our weekend 9 p.m. newscasts are 30 minutes long.
  • React to breaking news and manage the show's timing
  • Write stories and teases for broadcast
  • Produce unique content for multi-platforms, including broadcast and digital
  • Have awareness of and ability to gather hyper-local content (local politics, school boards, small town issues, etc) and present it to viewers in a clear, concise way. 
  • Be a leader in the newsroom


1-3 years



  • College degree in journalism, communications or similar.
  • 1-3 years experience full-time newscast producing.


Work Environment: Office
