Job Summary/Description:
The Digital Content Producer manages the daily flow of information concerning entertainment and special events happening in and around the New Orleans area for appropriate coverage both on-air and on the station's NOLA Now website and all other platforms. While at the same time marketing WVUE-FOX 8’s news and entertainment content across all digital platforms. This position works to ensure all digital marketing content is up-to-the-minute, attention-grabbing, informative, accurate, impactful, and relevant to a variety of users.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
– The Content Producer assists with the daily flow of entertainment news and information for appropriate coverage both on-air and on the station's NOLA Now website and digital marketing for FOX 8 News across all digital platforms.
– The CP gathers meaningful news information from various sources.
– They also help to generate story ideas, schedule, and write both organic and paid stories to run on NOLA Now.
– The CP is also responsible for creating content that is aligned with and enhances the station brand.
– The CP is also responsible for publishing content on multiple digital platforms, including mobile online and social networks.
– This person should have solid news judgment, a sound grasp of online journalism, and a sense of urgency.
– This is a high-pressure, deadline-focused position, which requires a self-starter, who is flexible and has the ability to multitask.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– At least two years producing lifestyle or entertainment content for broadcast or digital audience
– The successful candidate will demonstrate experience working with a producing team, meeting project and daily deadlines, and executing live segments on air and online.
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Arc, and Canva to edit websites.
