Job Summary/Description
WEAU 13 News, the dominant station in Eau Claire, WI, is searching for a digital producer/multi-media journalist. Digital Content Producer for WEAU produces and maintains the content for WEAU.com and related online platforms with the goal of building an audience of loyal, local visitors.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
– Write and adapt broadcast content for the website & ensure continuity with news coverage.
– Create significant, original, locally focused stories for WEAU’s digital platforms.
– Create engaging content on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms that draw viewers to the web and television.
– Participate in the creative development and technical implementation of online content for the website.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Must have experience with breaking news and working on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Must have proven news judgment, a working knowledge of all social media platforms, competency in web image editing, web and mobile platform showcasing skills, excellent web writing skills, and proficiency in AP style.
– You should also be proficient in shooting, writing, and editing television news packages.
