WXOW-TV/WQOW-TV in the beautiful La Crosse-Eau Claire, Wisconsin market is looking for a full-time Digital Content Manager to take our digital efforts to the next level. If you’re passionate about journalism, delivering breaking news and creating engaging content for our digital and
social media platforms, here’s your chance to be part of an award-winning news operation!
This full-time manager will lead the two stations’ digital content initiatives by creating and
managing content, as well as managing the websites and app appearances of WXOW in La Crosse and WQOW in Eau Claire.
This position curates the home pages and apps of both television stations, assists reporters and anchors in the creation of native social content, and aggressively covers breaking news for digital and social platforms through breaking news push alerts, livestreams, social posts and web articles.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate thinks ‘digital first’ and has strong editorial and news judgment
skills. They must be able to collaborate with our news teams but also work
independently. They should have strong writing skills (AP Style), the ability to
comprehend digital analytics and be able to work closely with other newsroom
management to create daily content workflow on our digital, mobile and social
platforms.
The Digital Content Manager also works closely with our Marketing and Sales teams to
help them create and execute effective campaigns across our digital platforms.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication or a
related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism or digital content is
Preferred. This is an in-house position, with the option of working in either La Crosse or Eau Claire.
