DESCRIPTION
Lead and manage the local sales team to drive revenue growth across broadcast, digital, and event platforms within a defined market. Develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets while fostering relationships with the team, clients and advertising agencies. Mid-West Family is a locally owned and operated media group leading the charge to help local business thrive through the use of custom marketing ideas that get results.
JOB EXPERIENCE
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field 5-7 years in sales management (media & advertising sales preferred but not required).
Leadership & Mentoring: Proven track record of of coaching and mentoring teams to drive performance and exceed sales goals.
Sales & Negotiations: Strong consultative selling skills across broadcast, digital and events. ability to negotiate and close deals while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Organizational skills: Strong planning, forecasting, and analytical skills needed.
Valid drivers License needed for local travel and field visits
REQUIREMENTS
Team Leadership & Coaching – Supervise, mentor, and develop a sales team of Account Executives. Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and offer field coaching to improve sales effectiveness
Strategy & Execution – Design and implement sales strategies across broadcast, digital, and events to capture new business and grow existing accounts. Prepare reliable sales forecasts and track inventory/revenue performance.
Revenue Growth & Client Acquisition – Prospect new clients, maintain strategic partnerships, pitch integrated media packages, and close deals. Accountable for achieving or exceeding revenue targets (local, digital, events)
Client Relationship Management – Cultivate deep client relationships. Serve as a trusted consultant guiding clients’ marketing objectives and media planning insights.
Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with digital marketing, production, content, and community teams to create cohesive campaigns and ensure exceptional client delivery.
Operational Oversight – Oversee administrative functions: hiring, budgeting, forecasting, AR management, and CRM usage. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
