WBRC Fox 6 in Birmingham, AL is looking for an energetic multi-media journalist who is a master at shepherding viewers and readers through breaking news.
This is a unique position that will require you to have a diverse skill set. The successful candidate will be an expert at conveying urgency. He/she will also need to be adept at enterprise storytelling. It requires you to find, write, shoot, and edit stories that will be unique to WBRC Fox6. You will be reporting for TV and digital audiences. Superior writing skills are a must, as well as your ability to connect with the audience. You and your content must be memorable and impactful. This is a Monday-Friday position but will require work during other shifts on occasion.

– BA degree in broadcasting or equivalent work experience
– Expert-level live shot skills
– Expert-level shooting, writing, and editing skills
– Master storyteller
– Ability to meet deadlines
– Strong broadcast and AP-style writing skills
– Proficient at posting content to station website, Facebook, and Twitter
– Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
