DESCRIPTION

KENS 5, the CBS affiliate in beautiful San Antonio, Texas is looking for a Creative/Brand Manager to join the station’s marketing team. In this role, you will provide our marketing team with guidance and ideas to launch new brand campaigns. You will devise the creative concepts and strategies for the KENS 5 brand and will monitor its progress. In coordination with the Marketing Director, you will be able to implement your vision and become the point of reference for any creative plan that wants to make its way to the customers/viewers. The goal is to achieve the best possible outcome for our marketing activations both visually and strategically in order to clarify the brand, meet customer/viewer expectations, and drive our growth across all platforms.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Creative/Brand Manager is a subject matter expert on brand and works inside the station’s marketing department. The individual will collaborate with necessary internal and external partners to bring the brand to life. They will facilitate the strategic development of the brand and provide internal guidance to all who impact the brand across platforms. They ensure all touch points of the station are in brand compliance including all advertising and promotion, multi-platform content, sales partnerships, social media extensions, live events, internal marketing and more. This position will also create marketing materials. A strong background in shooting/editing is necessary for this job.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This person will lead us in strategizing projects, managing deliverables and timelines and creating a smooth and harmonious pipeline of communication between each department.
  • This role needs someone extremely detail-oriented and process-driven, and who also understands our brand and our opportunities in the marketing landscape.
  • They will oversee multiple creative projects simultaneously.
  • Partner with Marketing, Content, Digital, and Sales to manage cross-functional projects aligned with business goals, ranging from weekly tasks to multi-month workstreams.
  • Design, Produce, Write, and Edit high-quality & impactful creative for brand marketing, community, and advertisers.
  • Work with marketing team to establish project timelines and ensure everyone involved is aware of activities, goals, key dates, and workflow. Projects include product launches, marketing activities, and brand initiatives.
  • Continually assess the performance of marketing initiatives to ensure they are delivering against the brands aligned goals, and stay on top of branding and marketing trends.
  • Support & mentor marketing producers in identifying and optimizing internal processes for the best results.
  • Track progress on creative projects and establish a clear path and owners of next steps.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

  • This position requires a portfolio of your video work that showcases your brand and production abilities. No resume will be considered without this.
  • 3-5 years of work experience, with heavy emphasis on graphic design, brand identity, project management or marketing strategy.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both internally and externally facing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, graphic & editing systems/suites.
  • Ability to clearly and quickly present your ideas and translate needs from one team to another.

Travel: Rarely: less than 10%

Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment

Physical Demands Set: Medium work: Involves standing prolong hours, stooping, bending, lifting/pushing up to 25 lbs.
