Waterloo Media Group, L.P. owns a cluster of eight radio stations in north Austin including:  KLBJ-AM (590), KLBJ-FM (93.7), ACL Radio (97.1), Latino (93.3), KROX (101.5), KBPA (103.5), KLZT (107.1), and ESPN (102.7).

 

We are looking for a part-time Music Board-Producer/Operator for KLZT-FM & KGSR   

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Mix a wide variety of music on live radio
  • Prepares the system for proper placement of commercials
  • Follow and enforces FCC regulations, station and company polices, including implementing station’s/state’s EAS procedures
  • Operates control board for studio and remote programming
  • Off-air support of commercial production, dubbing music to hard disk and programming automation computers
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and fill in for vacation and holidays required
  • Other duties assigned as-needed

 

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred
  • A minimum of six months experience with audio editing software
  • A minimum of six months experience operating a control board.
  • A minimum of six months experience with live radio mixes
  • Spanish and English fluency required, including translating English text to Spanish
  • Clear, concise communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization a must
  • Valid driver’s license and state mandated auto insurance is required
