WPMT FOX43 has an immediate opening for an Associate Producer who can create shareable and exciting content for television, social media and mobile. The ideal candidate is journalist with a creative mind and technical experience. They are familiar with the latest editing tools and techniques and are able to create and execute unique and exciting content on all platforms while on deadline.

Responsibilities

• Take video materials and write a voice-over sound on tape (VOSOT) or packages for talent to front
• Edit packages, vo/sots and digital video with Edius and other editing platforms
• Create digital content, edit social videos and post to social media
• Operate robotic, studio, and remote cameras
• Operate teleprompter
• Assist in set and lighting of both studio and remote projects
• Regular maintenance of studio facilities and remote equipment
• Routing reporters, traffic cameras and other sources to be taken to air for live broadcast
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

• BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field preferred
• Demonstrated news judgment, writing skills, and non-linear editing skills
• Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines
• Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events
• Must be flexible with schedule, reliable and dependable
• Knowledge of EDIUS, or any Non-Linear base editing system required
• Knowledge of ENPS a plus
• Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
• Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
• Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
