Job Summary/Description:
Are you looking to get your foot in the door at a dominant, award-winning television station? KSLA-TV is looking for a creative, innovative team player to support our newscasts. We are looking for a part-time associate producer. The ideal candidate will have a love for all things news and a desire to grow and excel in the media business.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Write/Edit news stories under deadline
– Produce content for KSLA.com, News 12 Now app, First Alert Weather app
– Follow the strategic plan for the newsroom
– Produce and assist with producing newscasts
– Must have excellent people skills to deal with a wide range of staff members and experience levels
Qualifications/Requirements:
– College degree preferred
– Strong writing and organizational skills
– Enjoy a fast-paced environment
– Prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends, and possible overtime hours.
