Job Title: Account Executive/Sports Marketing Specialist

Position: Full-Time
Do you have a passion for sports? Can you transfer that enthusiasm to local business owners who want to build their brand by radio advertising with some of the biggest franchises and names in sports? 102.1 The Won is the exciting new Springfield, Missouri-based radio station, and with this radio sales opportunity you'll be contacting local business owners to advertise on sports programming, such as: The St. Louis Cardinals, The St. Louis Blues, The Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Prime Time Football, The Jim Rome Show, and our local morning show featuring some of the biggest names in SW Missouri Sports.
Mid-West Family Springfield is also the home of 104.7 The Cave, Q92.9 , 105.1 The Bull, as well as complete suite of digital marketing products and services. In addition to sports marketing, you'll also have the opportunity to sell advertising on our other top-rated stations.
This career is all about making connections, and you will be talking to local business owners about connecting their brand to these well-known sports names. If you have the drive and passion for sports, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Experience: Previous sales experience is preferred.
Require: Superior relationships skills, excellent listening skills, computer skills, ability to work alone as well as in a team setting, digital and social acumen required, ability to drive for work, and ability to work remotely without direct oversight. You will need to live in the general area of the market we serve, as you will be selling directly to local decision makers.
Prefer: Experience developing and selling marketing ideas and concepts, creative right-brain thinking.
