POSITION SUMMARY:
Great entry level position for broadcasting students wanting to learn the basics of a successful newsroom.
JOB EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must be willing to work weekends, unusual shifts and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:
- Aid Producer in writing news stories for KFOR/KAUT newscasts.
- Monitor scanners for breaking news
- Interact, in a positive manner, with viewers via telephone and email
- Dispatch crews to stories
- Post breaking news to KFOR.com
Candidates with the following abilities are preferred:
- Strong writing ability.
- Calm under pressure.
- Great at multi-tasking.
