iHeartMedia Stations
Job Summary:
Paid Spring Internship for the iHeartMedia NYC Promotions and Marketing team. Stations include WHTZ, WKTU, WAXQ, WLTW, WWPR, WOR.
Getting on the job training:
- Assist full time/part time employees in promoting our 6 iHeartRadio New York radio stations at arenas, parades, retail stores, auto dealerships, parks, bars, etc.
- Assist full time/part time employees with events production and execution from start to finish (coordinating with on-site contact, hanging banners, handing out station giveaways, setting up and breaking down tables, sound systems, tents, etc.)
- Assist on-site at major station tent-pole events
- Assist full time/part time employees with administrative duties as needed.
- Assist full time/part time employees with contesting fulfillment including:
1) Entering winner information into record keeping system
2) Calling and e-mailing prize winners
3) Delivering prizes directly to winners
Requirements:
- Must be a college student
- Familiarity with the NYC Metropolitan Area
- Night & Weekend availability is a MUST. NO EXCEPTIONS. Holiday availability is required as well. (Popular radio event holidays include New Year’s Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Halloween & Black Friday).
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours/week
- Reliable transportation to East Rutherford, NJ and Manhattan
- Knowledge of our 6 stations and their demographics.
- Knowledge of the iHeartRadio app.
- The ability to work in a team environment
- The ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be energetic, outgoing and feel comfortable hosting a large crowd (100+ people) over a microphone
- Prior brand ambassador or event experience is a plus
