Position Title: Sales Assistant/ Marketing Consultant

Position Status: Full-time, Exempt

Position Pay:

 Commission Based, as follows:

  • Pay: Commission Based

Guaranteed compensation of $3250-3500 (gross) monthly for the first 6 months of employment- then transitions to 100% commission-based pay.

What you’ll do (day-to-day) Sales Support (50%)

  • Keep accounts humming: enter and manage local/regional orders, update databases, and help with invoicing/aging.
  • Build slick sales materials: PowerPoints, proposals, monthly recaps, and promo packages.
  • Be the team’s backbone: coordinate meetings, events, RSVPs, and special projects.
  • Help with front desk, office tasks, and other support when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Client-Facing / Business Development (50%)

  • Own local client relationships — service accounts and hunt for new business across TV and digital.
  • Pitch smart advertising solutions and present to local businesses.
  • Work with production on creative spots and campaign execution.
  • Rep the station at community events and networking opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • You know Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and you’re quick to learn new tools.

Nice-to-have (not dealbreakers)

  • Experience or willingness to learn: WideOrbit, Efficio, Ad Connections, ComScore, ShareBuilder.
  • Background in media, marketing, sales support, or customer service is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma, or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to answer phones and perform daily office tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move office equipment or supplies up to 30 pounds.

JOB EXPERIENCE

  • Broadcast television, media sales, marketing, or advertising experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous customer service, sales support, or account management experience is a plus.
