Job Summary:

Primary administrative resource for updating content of web-based templates and monitoring associated applications.

                                                                                                    

The Digital Content Producer is responsible for the development and execution of the digital media/content operation and social media for a nationally syndicated morning radio show and brand. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with on-air talent and radio show staff to expand the show brand’s digital presence via owned & operated the site and social media accounts.
  • Create content related to the show and of interest to the show’s listeners & target audience.
  • Find innovative ways to use the show’s digital properties to grow broadcast ratings and deliver original content to affiliates.
  • Maintain all aspects of the show’s site, consistently updating it with new posts, videos, photos, and other content, and ensure it is user-friendly/ aesthetically pleasing.
  • Working with show Producer/Programming Team, Studio Staff, and On-Air talent to strategize the most effective way to integrate digital into the show and use the on-air inventory to grow a digital audience.
  • Analysis of metrics and diagnostics to shape digital content strategy.
  • Development and execution of social media strategy and content.
  • Respond to listener’s online comments and opinions, according to the guidance from Content Director, to always secure brand integrity. 
  • Function as the editor of the show’s website, including the posting of all online content: articles, photos, audios, and videos. 
  • Secure the coverage of all show-related and community events, including videos and photos to post on the website. 
  • Design basic images necessary for the station’s website and social platforms. Coordinate more complex graphics requirements with a station-appointed graphic designer. 
  • Knowledge of the US Hispanic culture and interests, as well as familiarity with local news and city guides. 

Work Experience/Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience working in some form of digital content creation and social media. Graphic design skills a plus
  • Experience working within a Content Management System for website content. 
  • Must be an idea factory, always coming up with new ways to keep content fresh.
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of pop culture and current events.
  • Must be highly organized with very strong communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who excels at working independently, with a proven track record of independent judgment and decision making.
  • Strong background and understanding of the latest social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest and more. 
  • Willing to multi-task and work beyond the job description, including off-hours when applicable.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google +, Instagram, etc) a plus 
  • Working knowledge of Social media tools proficiency (Hootsuite, Wildfire, etc) a plus 
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects
  • Video capturing with DSLR Cameras and encoding for Internet/mobile and social media
  • Excellent Spanish and English fluency; both verbal and written 
  • 1-year experience in online content production and editing
  • Basic understanding of online metrics, as well as resources and strategies to build and grow online audiences 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule and able to work under pressure
