DESCRIPTION
The creative, collaborative team at local NBC television station KWES seeks a Marketing Producer with strong skills and great ideas! This position reports directly to the Marketing Director and is responsible for the production of television and digital marketing materials which advertise the NewsWest 9/KWES Newsgroup, its commercial clients and community partners, as well as live televised events. Projects include station marketing, commercial production, public service announcements and live event production.
- Collaborates in creative decision-making and media production to effectively represent the NewsWest9/KWES Newsgroup, its commercial clients and community partners.
- Writes advertising and promotional copy effectively and succinctly without grammar or spelling errors.
- Effectively lights subjects for photography using studio lighting or natural light.
- Operates high definition video cameras and audio recording equipment.
- Edits video and digital marketing materials in a variety of formats for television broadcast, video streaming and online digital display.
- Assists with setting up and operating video equipment at televised live events.
- Communicates clearly, cooperatively and respectfully with coworkers and clients.
- Simultaneously manages multiple projects with differing timelines to completion on deadline.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field such as Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Graphic Arts highly preferred.
- Minimum two years' experience shooting with high definition digital video camera(s) and video editing in Adobe Premiere.
- Experience in graphics production using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator) highly preferred.
- Must be familiar with various digital media file type and video codecs.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Organizational skills, creativity and attention to detail are essential.
- Must foster and maintain a cooperative, collaborative and respectful workplace environment.
- Must be willing and able to learn new skills as opportunity or need arises.
