Chief Engineer

Las Vegas, NV | Full Time

 

Summary

Responsible for installation and maintenance of all TV and Radio studio equipment.  

 

Essential Functions

Candidates will have a vast knowledge of radio and TV broadcast engineering and transmission, news operational and technical environments which include studio and field cameras, Adobe Premier non-linear editing systems, Avid iNews newsroom systems, cg graphics interfaces.

Candidates must be able to lift at least 40-50 pounds, have a general IT knowledge that includes IT switches and routers, ISP modems, VOIP phones, ENCO radio automation and playout,  Comrex,  Gates Air Flexiva FM transmitters, GatesAir Maxiva air and liquid cooled TV transmitters, Intraplex IP Link, Comrex Brick link and 950 STL links.

Required Education and Experience

Familiarization with news operations, Ross Carbonite Switchers, Wheatstone Consoles, Studio Cameras, Autoscript prompter systems, play out automation systems, streaming protocols and gateways, knowledge on Gates Air Liquid and solid states transmitters, Ross production switchers, JVC/Panasonic and Sony studio and field cameras,  Ross Xpression graphics interfaces,  Adobe Premier nonlinear editing systems, and other related gear as necessary.

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a position. Actual schedule and hours may vary. May include after hours and weekend work as needed.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Reports directly to VP of Engineering
