Job Summary/Description:
7News, Watertown, WWNY, seeks a main producer for our top-rated morning news broadcast. This self-starter role requires effective communication, the ability to organize and lead a small team, and a strong vision for informative and fun morning programming to include breaking news, entertainment, and booking live guests.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Review rundowns, stack morning shows
– Develop new content for the morning shows
– Work with newsroom leadership to meet goals on all platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Journalism degree or equivalent
– Excellent storyteller, writer
– Excellent news judgment
– Strong organizational skills
– Self-starter, independent worker
