KIII-TV 3News in Corpus Christi, Texas, the dominant TEGNA-owned ABC local news station in South Texas, is looking for a talented and artistic Photojournalist/Editor to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate will create exciting and highly visual content for our television, digital and streaming platforms while working closely with producers, reporters, and newsroom leaders. This position shoots and edits daily content for multiple newscasts.

Responsibilities:
- Shoot and edit dynamic video content for all platforms in a daily, deadline-driven environment
- Work solo or with an assigned MSJ, reporter, or anchor for daily news assignments
- Edit a variety of video elements including voice-overs, SOTS, packages, graphics, and teases
- Produce compelling content using multi-layered, non-linear editing; experience with Edius a plus
- Operate an IP video-based live unit (Dejero)
- Add video to digital stories
- Write copy for television, social media, or our website as needed
- Attend editorial meetings, participate in newsroom discussions, and pitch story ideas
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience in the field
- 1-3 years of experience preferred
- Willing to work nights and weekends
- Texas/regional knowledge a plus
- Desire to become a drone pilot a plus
